Natco Pharma Ltd. launched an anti cancer medicine under the brand name of Heduo for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer. Its main constituent is Lapatinib. It comes in the form of tablets of strength 250 mg. Each pack of the medicine contains 150 tablets. 

Description:

Lapatinib is used together with another medicine called capecitabine to treat a certain type of breast cancer that has not responded to the standard treatment. Lapatinib may also be used together with another medicine (letrozole) to treat HER2-positive breast cancer in women after menopause. Lapatinib works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells.

Dosage:

Take this medicine orally 1 hour before or 1 hour after the meal, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. It is advised that you do not take this medicine more than once daily. Basically, the dosage is based on your medical condition, response to treatment and certain drugs that you are taking. Do not increase your dose more often than prescribed.

Side Effects:
