Description:

Aprecap capsules are used in combination therapy with other medication for both moderately and highly emetogenic chemotherapy and prevent nausea and vomiting related with cancer chemotherapy. In chemotherapy, the cytotoxic drugs kill cancer cells which grow faster than the normal cells and nausea and vomiting are some common side effects than can be seen during chemotherapy. The vomiting reflex is triggered by the drugs used during chemotherapy.

To prevent nausea and vomiting induced by these drugs, Aprecap capsules are used by blocking the vomiting reflex.

Direction of use:

You should take your Aprecap capsules swallowed whole, with a glass of water, with or without food, as part of a 3-day regimen that includes a corticosteroid and a 5-HT 3 antagonist. You should consume your first capsule (125 mg) on day 1, one hour before starting chemotherapy.You should take your next two capsules (80 mg) each on days 2 and 3 in the morning. You should take your Aprecap capsules in addition to other antiemetic medications as recommended by your doctor/pharmacist/nurse.
