Description:
Cizumab injection is a monoclonal antibody. It works by stopping the formation of blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to cancerous cells. This leads to slow the growth and spread of cancer. It also works in eye diseases by stopping abnormal blood vessel growth and leakage in the eye(s), thereby preventing from vision loss.
Cizumab Injection is used in the treatment of cancer of colon and rectum, breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, cancer of Fallopian tube and kidney cancer.
It is also used in the treatment of eye diseases like wet form of age-related macular, degeneration and diabetic macular edema.
Dosage:
This medication is administered into a vein by IV injection once in every 2-3 weeks. The correct amount of dosage needs to be prescribed by the doctor based on your medical history and current condition.

Warnings:
Before using this medication you should arrange for a consultation with your doctor and notify him/her if: you are allergic to it, your wounds heal very slowly, you have recently coughed up blood, you are scheduled for a surgery in the next 28 days, you have heart diseases/high blood pressure/bleeding or blood-clotting problems, you are taking any other medications, you are pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby. Do not conceive for at least 6 months after the end of treatment.
