Tenvir belongs to a class of antiviral medications called reverse transcriptase inhibitors. Tenvir is used in combination with other antiviral medications in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Tenvir is also used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B infection.
