DEFRIJET 500MG TABLET contains Deferasirox, which belongs to the group of medicines called Iron chelators. DEFRIJET 500MG TABLET is used to remove chronic iron overload (excess iron in the body) caused by frequent blood transfusions in patients with beta thalassaemia major aged 6 years and older.

DEFRIJET 500MG TABLET is also used to treat chronic iron overload when deferoxamine therapy is contraindicated or inadequate in patients with beta thalassaemia major and other types of anaemia with iron overload caused by repeated blood transfusions and in children 2 to 5 years of age.
